The shaggy inkcap is often found in grass fields and is quite delicious. However it has a really short shelf life and can only be eaten if it is completely white. If left overnight it will turn into a puddle of black ink that can actually be made into a useable ink for writing and painting.
This mini mushroom is about 5cm tall and is made from a single piece of basswood.
